Edward (Ted) Higase was appointed as KVH President, Chief Executive Officer and Representative Director of KVH (currently Colt) on May 16, 2012. Ted has more than 25 years of global ICT business leadership experience and extensive expertise in the multi-national corporate enterprise and service provider markets. He also has broad exposure to multiple business cultures having worked both in Tokyo, New York, London and across the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to joining KVH, Ted served as a Managing Director and Executive Vice President of Global Crossing Ltd.’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) businesses, responsible for a regional business serving a customer portfolio of multi-national corporate enterprises, UK public sector, and service providers.
Before joining Global Crossing in 2000, he served in Tokyo as General Manager, Corporate Markets for Dell Computer Corporation. Ted began his career with AT&T Corporation in 1990, where he focused predominantly in the corporate enterprise segment, including leadership roles at AT&T Corporate Business Markets Division in Japan and at AT&T Solutions Outsourcing Division in the USA.
Ted holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from the University of California, Davis and a Master of Business Administration degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He has attended the Executive Development Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and the Oxford Strategic Leadership Programme at the Said Business School, University of Oxford.
